Il Divo’s Drive To Help Age Concern
Premiering for the first time in the area, the hugely popular Il Divo Tribute from Benidorm will be performing at Restaurante Los Rosales on October 17th. After months of negotiations the trio will be bringing their unique sound and style to Guardamar. Il Divo trio are normally found playing to packed houses on the Benidorm circuit where there rich interpretations of classic and popular songs have enraptured audiences from around the world. Hosting the classy evening will be the hugely popular Dee, who recently appeared at Benidorm Palace. Hoping to drive their funds through the roof will be Age Concern Charity who are holding the raffle. The lifeline team play a vital role for so many sick and elderly people. With so many retired people now resident in Spain their work is of vital importance. Their present project is to replace an aging Mini Bus. The new one will be specially equipped with fit for purpose hoists and a tailgate lift that will help to transport those who are wheelchair bound. The charity has a dedicated core of hardworking volunteers who not only raise the much needed funds but also go out on a daily basis to assist those in need. All the way from the UK is Gary Jay who is one of the most highly acclaimed Elvis acts in the UK. Not only is he very good looking but he has also worked with top acts Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones and Elton John. Gary even has endorsements from Elvis's personal associates! Gary has appeared as Elvis on numerous TV and radio programmes and even holds the record for the longest Elvis Tribute Concert. Queen Comes To The Rescue For SAT
Chess, the most flamboyant and famous Queen Tribute band in Spain will be at Restaurante Los Rosales in Guardamar on Saturday June 6th. The band, who are known for their showmanship and all out audience participation have not been at the venue for 18 months due to being booked up all over the country. Tickets have been reserved by devotees of the band as early as January of this year as the last 3 shows were sell outs. The new line up is still headed by front man Charlie Joss, a showman like no other. Audiences can expect the unexpected and a show to be talked about for months afterwards.
The raffle will be held by SATS volunteers, who are in the process of trying to raise a staggering 13,000 Euros for purpose built kennels for a new location in San Isidro. Formed in 1992 the charity homes as many as 90 rescue dogs at one time. With hundreds of animals needing new homes, the new centre will cater for puppies and larger dogs in a more spacious setting including an isolation area. The mammoth task needs people to help and SAT need volunteers to help in their shops, cleaning kennels, dog walkers and for fund raising. James has a huge repertoire of songs from all the top Divas with the dresses and wigs to match! His tongue in cheek humour and audience participation makes him, not only a superb vocalist but a stunning entertainer.

Austin Slack is their protégé and at only 15 years old will leave audiences amazed at his young talent. Little Pod Association non profit making charity will be holding the raffle on the night. The charity tirelessly covers the Orihuela Costa to Alicante region by helping all animals and ensuring they have the full veterinary care and documentation to be lovingly re-homed. The utmost care is taken to help each animal adjust to their new and happy lives in Spain and Europe. One recent rescue success was Estrella, an “old lady” who was found riddled with terrible tumours. Due to the kind donations of the public, she has now been treated and will be spending her few remaining years with a loving family. |

Benidorm’s brightest stars will be paying tribute to AFA with live entertainment on February 21st at Restaurante Los Rosales, Guardamar. “A Night WithThe Stars” show has already sold over half of the tickets for this superb multi tribute show. Benidorm’s top husband and wife team Timewarp Duo, will be doing over 8 quick costume changes for their tribute to the stars that ranges from Lady Gaga to Meatloaf and Cher to Roy Orbison. Joining them from Benidorm with his dazzling costumes and quick wit is the glamorous female impersonator James McDonald. Musically trained James adopted his surname after becoming famous for his Jane McDonald tribute show and continues to hold homage to the female divas in his act. Soul Power raise funds for Pets in spain

Well lookie here! We have a new venue for you. El Castillo is a friendly restaurant with a brilliant outside patio that we can party in until the wee small hours! (Weather permitting). Our first show will be on September 11th - and is a fundraiser for Pets In Spain. The band Soul Power will be playing live, with all your favourite soul, funk and motown music. Numbers are limited in this venue, so get booking now!
Set in it's own grounds, El Castillo Restaurant can be found on Ave San Fulgencio in Urb La Marina (locally known as The Forest Road). From N332, take the Urb La Marina turn off - past the Petrol Station and Club Cars. The venue is on the left just on the curve of the road. Parking is available just outside or in the small car park. Partying for Pets in Spain Tickets have been selling fast for the upcoming Soul Power Show at El Castillo Restaurant in La Marina. Supporters of the charity have been snapping up tickets for the long awaited show which features the only live 5 piece Soul and Motown band on the Costas. Pets in Spain will be opening their second self financing shop, which will be raising funds for the Cat Sterilisation programme. Customers are already flocking to the shop in Ave de Londres in La Marina despite it still being fitted out. The 2 shops in La Marina are staffed by volunteers and all money taken is used for the upkeep of the shop and the charities various projects. Funds raised from charity events are used to help rescue animals and treat them. They have recently helped other charities in the re homing and rescue of 11 dogs that were part of 300 that are in danger. Fundraising events are important, as they allow all charities to achieve their goals of relieving pain and suffering. Long term foster carer Jackie Lawson is helping Pets in Spain to organise the show which is on September 11th. Tickets are 12 Euros and include a hot buffet with the show. Woody and The Peckers will be rockin n rollin to help Afghan Heroes celebrate 4 years of raising money to help rehabilitate injured troops and their families who have been involved in the war in Afghanistan. Jax Lawson has been the Regional Coordinator in Spain since their onset back in September 2009 and won the Fundraiser of the Year award the following year. Jax will be holding a raffle to raise much needed money for this great cause. Neil Diamond fans are in for a rare treat on Saturday July 27th at Restaurante Los Rosales in Guardamar. International vocalist Geoff “The Jazz Singer” Watts will be mesmerising the audience with his world class Neil Diamond tribute. He has appeared on UK television, and has had sell out shows in Benidorm Palace not once, but twice. His “Beautiful Noise” also includes music from Lionel Richie,Tom Jones, Chris Rea, Barry White and a whole host of great vocalists.
Afghan Heroes will once again be holding a raffle at the show. Their last one at the “More Than Your Fair Cher” show raised 300€ for the UK based charity. Now known as True Heroes, they have achieved a great deal in the 4 years since their onset in 2009. Always a charity to support the people who served in the forces, their ultimate aim was to provide amazing long term aftercare for any wounded or mentally effected member of the British forces. They have now achieved part of that aim by opening their second of the ten planned retreats. The facility mentors and retrains soldiers who are unable to work because of physical injuries and mental trauma. With forces now being pulled out of Afghanistan, it is now more important than ever to have the facilities in place to treat those who have given so much for their country, and allow them to move forward into their new civilian lives without the nightmare visions of all they have witnessed. Chering For True Heroes
The More Than Your Fair Cher show at Restaurante Los Rosales on Saturday July 6th will be helping True Heroes to get their fair share. The charity who have supported British Forces and their families both in theatre and at home since 2009 will be holding a raffle and selling merchandise for this outstanding cause. The show has an eclectic mix of acts to suit all music lovers. For the first time at Los Rosales Angie McKay will be thrilling Cher fans with her off the wall tribute. Not only is she loud and proud, but also funny and sexy too. Joining her is Spanish born guitarist Nilo. His blue guitar has been synonymous with the sound of brilliant guitar work and especially Santana music. Audiences have fallen in love with his sweet accent and funny remarks. Also on the show and getting everyone burning up the dance floor is Johnny Fox. Johnny’s powerful voice will be filling the dance floor with music from the 60’s right up to present day.. After the tragedy in May of the off duty soldier who was hacked to death in the UK, True Heroes Charity has been getting overwhelming support from both the UK and here in Spain. The charity, formerly known as Afghan Heroes, has instigated a huge rehabilitation programme in the UK and also retrains and supports military personnel and their families. Divas Give Girl Power to AFA
It promises be a star studded evening at The Divas Rosales Show on Saturday June 8th at Restaurante Los Rosales in Guardamar. Starring 3 of the finest female vocalist on the Costa Blanca, the night will be a homage to Divas and dancing the night away. The Costa Blanca’s much loved vocalist Maria O’Hara will taking your breath away with her beautiful voice. Described as the voice of an angel, Maria can deliver any song from pop to opera with aplomb. Joining her is the “Queen of Soul and Motown”, Celena Deans. Also appearing will be winner of the “Coastrider Female Vocalist Awards 2013”, the amazing Nikki G. Saddle up for a Rock ‘n Roll Rave!
There will be no horsing around at The Beatles and Buddy’s Rock ‘n Roll Rave at Restaurante Los Rosales on Tuesday May 21st. It will be a serious matter of having fun and dancing the night away to a truly unique show. For the first time ever together on one show Woody and The Peckers will be joined by Rick and Trace with their Lennon and McCartney tribute. Woody and The Peckers are an astonishingly popular live rock n roll band, and with their wonderful Buddy Holly Tribute show on the same bill, audiences are sure to be thrilled again by their musical talents. Beatles fans are also in for a treat, as seasoned musicians Rick and Trace join together as The Lennon and McCartney duo. Their personalities will be shining through in the classics that we all know and love. The raffle will be held by Easy Horse Care. They currently have 52 rescued Horses and Donkeys. With a daily cost of 25€ per animal plus vets fees, this equates to 1700€ per month that needs to be raised just to keep the centre open. LR Shows and Night Out Promotions will be holding an evening unlike any that has been held before with their mystical and magic show at Restaurante Los Rosales on May 11th. Psychic Medium Sandra Mitchell Aetheris will be amazing even non-believers with her accuracy of readings. She has worked in Spiritualist Churches all over the world and was discovered here in Spain by a local television company. Since then she has given readings to the rich and famous, and has converted sceptics. With both a clairvoyant Grandmother and Mother, her gift has been a way of life. Sandra will only be in Spain for a short time, as she has such a full diary of clients to satisfy. Joining Sandra will be Costa Blanca X-Factor winner Graeme Mykal. As a member of the magic circle, Graeme has been amazing audiences both in Spain and in the UK with his mind boggling close up magic. Clients have been quoted as saying that his magic is “Mesmerising” The evening will also be magical for the invited charity Elche Children’s Care Home. Saturday night’s all right for Rockin’ and a Rollin’ with The Red Tops on April 13th at Restaurante Los Rosales in Guardamar. The live 6 piece band takes their Rockabilly, R and B and Rock ‘n Roll influences straight from the golden era of the 1950’s. Their unique sound and range of instruments has made them a Costa Blanca sensation. With not only guitars and drums, but a back beat of double bass and a sexy saxophone that lifts any song, the night will be music to rock n rollers ears.
LR Shows. continues to encourage charity donations by inviting a diverse range of local charities to hold raffles during the interval. This show will be the turn of the Alzheimer’s Association of Torrevieja (AFA). Formed in 2004 they quickly grew and were able to assist more patients from their head office in Torrevieja. Yee haw! It’s time to get your best cowboy boots and hats out for the top of the range, rootin’ tootin’ highfalutin’ Pure Country Rock Show on Tuesday 26th March from 7pm. This will be the premiere at Restaurante Los Rosales for the biggest Country Rock Band on the Costas – “Ito and The Trails”. The 5 piece Spanish Band has built a huge fan base by writing all their own material and being exceptionally talented musicians. Band members became famous when they played at The Stray Cats farewell tour. On the bill also is 2 times number one Irish Chart Topper Dickie Ray from Benidorm, who will be making sure to everyone can dance the night away.
Pets in Spain, the animal rescue charity raised over 500 Euros at a previous show at the venue, and will be hoping that the raffle will be as successful at Pure Country Rock. Since the last show, many animals have been rescued, including one poor dog who was found caught in barbed wire. He had extensive injuries and was so traumatised that he needed specialist attention and many painful operations. The charity rescues about 30 dogs every week, and works ceaselessly to find good homes with the seemingly never-ending supply of abandoned animals.www.petsinspain.net

The “Pure Rock n Roll” Show is being held at Restaurante Los Rosales, Guardamar on Tuesday 23rd of February. Starring the lively and talented Woody and the Peckers giving it their own brand of “get up and dance” rock n roll. The 3 band members have packed houses in all the venues that they play in. Gary “Woody” Woodward will also be leading the band with the best Buddy Holly Tribute in Spain. The invited charity, who are holding their own raffle will be Age Concern.
With the majority of Expats falling into the over 50’s bracket, Age Concern is a charity that we will all need to rely on at some stage. Formed in 1998, Age Concern Costa Blanca Sur depends on donations and sales from their charity shop to help their cause. Amongst the work they do is integrating the elderly with Spanish people and associations. Their Lifeline volunteers fulfill a very important role in welfare in the community. Their drop in centre in La Siesta has something interesting on everyday of the week to “help make life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience” .

Big New Year's Eve Party
Premiering the amazingly talented guitar/vocalist Nick Barker. Celebrate 2013 with a sensational new show. Nick who has taken Spain by storm with his Think Floyd Solo show, has now created another masterpiece with a spin on Rock n Roll. Rock n Roll Express brings together the big band sounds of a brass band, and melds it with stylist guitar playing to knock you off your feet.
